Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Kenwood KR-7400 receiver.  This includes all the parts you need to completely rebuild a Kenwood KR-7400, and includes the correct size replacement main filter capacitors, a new relay, and a new 150-ohm 10W resistor (plus some wire) in order to correctly replace the two 330-ohm resistors (R1 and R12) on the power supply board that run too hot and burn the board.  The new resistor is mounted on a nearby heat-sink, so you'll need a drill and a pair of small screws to install it.  This kit does not include new lights or fuses.  If you need new output transistors, I have those available here.  The correct replacements are two MJ21195G (replaces 2SB539) and two MJ21196G (replaces 2SD287).

This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in the receiver, including the two large filter capacitors, which are replaced with new Nichicon LS 6800 uf 80v caps.  It also includes replacements for the two 2SC1451s and the four differential transistors on the amp board.

These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment.  Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Panasonic FC, Nichicon Muse, Nichicon KL, Wima film, and Nichicon LS for the filter caps.  Transistors are new Onsemi transistors, and the relay is a new Omron.

The KR-7400 preamp board uses eight 6.8 uf bipolar caps, which are almost impossible to find replacements for.  The kit includes eight new Wima 6.8 uf 63v film capacitors, which are perfect replacements and are a huge upgrade from the originals.

This kit includes a total of 66 parts.  This is a moderately complicated rebuild, so you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with 60W or 100W incandescent bulb.

US shipping and handling is $8, and international is $36. If you have any questions, please ask.
