Vintage, extremely hard to find, circa 1920-30, featured in their 1927 catalog (see pics): PENN passage rabbeted French door mortise lock #1127. (see pics). Measurements for the 1127 are outlined below:
FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a Japanned face with a length of 5" and a width of 7/8" and thickness of 1/16".
MORTISE BOX: The mortise box itself is 2" deep from the front edge of the faceplate and the box 3 5/8" high. Box is 1/2" thick. The lock is reversible.
BACKSET: The backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 1 1/2".
DROP: The drop (the distance from the the center of the knob post hole to the center of the top of the round portion at the top of the key slot is 2 1/8".
KNOB POST: The lock accommodates a standard 5/16" knob post.
KEY: The lock comes with a newly cut brass key.
We do not have the keepers for these locks, but if you need to replace yours, this is a very unusual opportunity to get one that is new and has never been installed!
