Buttons were made by UUU 28 St. Marks Pl NYC 10002 (printer on the edge of some buttons). UUU stands for Underground Uplift Unlimited, the famous New York City head shop that produced humorous and political buttons from 1967-1971. I bought these around 1968 and stored them in a cabinet for over 50 years.

According to former employee Randy Rhody, "the store and mail order business sold buttons such as Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out, Keep the Faith Baby, and We Shall Overcome. It quickly evolved into a head shop.
The poet Tuli Kupferberg dropped in occasionally. Valerie Solanas brought her SCUM magazine in to sell. Abbie Hoffman lived upstairs from the store."

Button captions are as follows - please include the buttons you want in the comments section when you pay.
Only those buttons still listed here are available for purchase -
I will CROSS OUT any button already sold.

Each payment is for a single button.
Please write to me for any clarifications you need.
