Dear Mrs Scherer,
I am so sorry to hear that your book never arrived. It was posted I know but there have been one or two occasions over the last six months when the books were never received. So here is another which i hope will arrive safely.
I forget, however, about the note. Was it anything about the difference between the US pint (16 fluid ounces) and the UK pint (20 fluid ounces)? That's the most important thing to remember when using English recipes.
