Description: A very good or better copy of the 1942 First Edition of Baseball's Greatest Drama by Joseph J. Krueger in a good, unclipped dust jacket with Lou Gehrig on the front cover. A First Printing with no other printings listed. Kruger looks back at four decades of Baseball's Fall Classic from 1903-1942 with a review of the highlights of every season and some amazing player photos. Condition: 8vo. 408 pages - Publishers' cloth boards with titles and decoration stamped in ink on the front and spine. Some toning to the edges, rubbing to the upper corners and a bit of softening to the spine tips. The jacket is well worn with toning, chipping to the fold and spine ends, creasing to the paper, wear along the folds with several long, closed tears long ago repaired with tape to the jacket verso. Overall, a great piece of baseball history looking back at the World Series from the very beginning.
