Antique Victorian Sewing Scissors Dagger w/ Brass Handles & Sheath; Up for sale is the Victorian ornate heavy sewing scissors with brass handles and sheath, dated 19^th century.

The scissors and its sheath were in a dagger shape. The brass handles were richly decorated in symmetry on the grips with a pair of birds and floral motifs. The steel blades attracted to a magnet are still sharp and work well. The sheath has two holes for sitting the scissors. Each side of the sheath was richly decorated, including a figure and floral patterns. As antique there was no mark, but we believed that the set was made in Germany.

 

Measures: Dimensions, Sheathed, 9 1/8” long; Scissors, 8 ¼” long x 2 5/8” wide; Sheath, 6 1/8” long x 1” wide (at widest point) x 1” (at thickest point); Weight, 8.8 oz (~ 249 grams).

Condition: Very good and clean, with one scissors missing, the tip of the sheath is slightly bent as indicated in last photo.
