This is a beautiful time capsule. A children's favourite printed during WW2. It is small (17.5 x 11.5 cm) and printed in black and white. One imagines it was read to children in the Air-raid shelter to take their minds off what was going on outside.
The John Tenniel illustrations (92 of them) all black and white makes this item compelling for children today. However, this is definitely a book for the collector.
