Clint Eastwood is Philo, hoping to “retire” from fighting. But a new contender lures him back – and mobsters kidnap Philo’s girl (Sondra Locke) to ensure he’ll turn up for the showdown. Ruth Gordon as Ma, Geoffrey Lewis as Orville and those hapless motorcycle morons called the Black Widows all return in fine form. Songs by Glen Campbell, Jim Stafford and Snuff Garrett make up a tuneful country score, including an Eastwood/Ray Charles duet on Beers to You. As ever, Clyde steals the show, especially in a courtship scene with the lady orangutan of his dreams. Any Which Way You Can, you'll be entertained. Sudden Impact: Sudden Impact is Eastwood's fourth Dirty Harry film. Released in 1983, it follows Inspector Callahan (Eastwood) as he's shipped to San Paulo a small town down the coast to investigate a murder. The killer is Jennifer Spencer (Sondra Locke) who, out for revenge, is murdering all the rapists that gang-raped her and her little sister 10 years ago. During his investigations Callahan becomes entangled in Jennifer's own troubles - all the while never suspecting that she's the killer. Where Eagles Dare: The mission is clear. Get in. Get the general. Get out. Commandos charged with freeing a U.S. general from an Alpine fortress should also be told to trust nothing - including the search-and-rescue orders just issued. Loose Discs: Your DVD will be carefully packed in a bubble wrap envelope however there is a remote chance the disc may come loose in the case whilst on its way to your place.
I am more than happy to unwrap and place bubble wrap between the disc and cover to ensure this can't happen. If you would like that done, just let me know in the comments when you purchase. In most cases, other than the bubble wrap inside, you won’t even know the case has been opened.
