I have come to the conclusion that using this 4 hole valve guide will eliminate residue air in rifles & pistols as to using the original 2 hole valve guide which is restricting airflow.

Latter Sheridan/Benjamin 4 hole valve guide for rifles & pistols.

Valve guide will work on older rifles & pistols. Does not have the tab like the older valve guides. Installation is easier.

With this valve guide the exhaust valve will open out more thus allowing more air to be expelled. Preventing residue air. See photos.

Note:  It has come to my attention that this 4 hole valve guide may not fit some earlier Benjamin rifles because the OD bigger. It may need to be cut down on a metal lathe.
