FINISHED IN CLASSIC BLACK

BUILT IN 2004, IN THE AXL PLANT IN SHANGHAI, CHINA. 

THESE SE's ARE ALSO CONSIDERED THE BEST BUILT GUITARS EVER BUILT IN CHINA WITH REGARDS BUILD QUALITY AND FINISH.

For ID purposes, the Squier logos on these instruments are Full Sized solid black Squier Logo . There's a small black  'by Fender' logo UNDER THE WORD SQUIER, ON THE 70'S Style Strat headstock. These SEs are sought after by enthusiasts and modders because they are such a great base for modifications and upgrades. The guitar has a full thickness body same dimensions as the more expensive Fender Strats. The Mexican and, I believe USA, Fender full fat 6 screw trem system will drop in. The neck pocket should take a replacement Fender neck but again please check dimensions carefully before you go ahead. The routeing is HSH so you could add a humbucker or two if you want.

THIS EXAMPLE IS FINISHED IN POLYURATHANE OVER NATURAL ALDER OR AGATHIS WOOD AN WHICH AFTER 2O YEARS, IS STILL IN GREAT GLOSSY CONDITION ON THE FRONT BUT DOES HAVE SOME DINGS THAT GIVE IT THAT SLIGHTLY "ROADWORD LOOK. PLEASE SEE PICS.WITH JUST A FEW TINY MARKS : PLEASE SEE PICS 

THE SCRATCHPLATE IS A  3 PLY FITTED WITH 11 SCREWS IN A 60'S RE ISSUE STYLE. 

THERE IS NO WHAMMY BAR BUT THESE CAN BE LOCATED CHEAPLY AND EASILY ON EBAY.

The body is made from Agathis (also referred to as a commercial Mahagany, Some reference sights say Alder) and its nice and light so won't break your back if you put it on a strap.

This guitar was produced for the European Market, has ceramic pickups  that sound great, really classically 'Fender Bell Like', really articulate, especially in the upper Harmonics.

These Guitars have an absolutely beautiful One piece Tapered Maple Neck with a 9.5" radius and a 42mm nut. 22 medium Jumbo frets on a Rosewood Fretboard. It's so silky smooth to play and really comfortable.

Ceramic pickups as we said earlier, a 6 screw bridge with a skinny trem block and Trapazoidal sealed tuners.
