This is an original set published in 1938 and they are in Very Good Condition. You are buying from one of the largest stockist of cigarette and trade cards in the UK.

When this set was reviewed in our magazine Cigarette Card News in February 1938 the reviewer wrote "Here is something really unusual: there has been no previous issue specifically devoted to this subject." A wide range of historical crowns from around the world have been depicted including that of St. Stephen of Hungary which we are told really consists of two crowns united, the crown of Pope Julius II adorned with jewels taken from the tomb of an Empress, the crown of the former king of Brazil, the crown of Rameses II, the Imperial Crown of Russia, the 14th century Scottish crown which was found in a chest in 1817 having been lost for many years and the Tartar crown of Kasan. There is plenty of detailed information on the adhesive backs. Cards size 68 x 36mm.
Number of cards in set: 25
