15 inch Horsman Cindy doll is marked Horsman 81 on the back of her neck.
She is actually a brunette, but her hair was such a fright that I covered her hair with a blonde wig (her original hair is intact beneath the wig). Blue sleep eyes with nice lashes. One eye sometimes sticks when you lay her down, and then stand her up again. She is a "super flex" version which is a vinyl legged version of the Cindy doll with no hip joints. She has 2 faint smudges on her back, see pics.
Cindy arrives in her original cardboard trunk with original cardboard doll insert, and cardboard with plastic wrap/paper fashion wardrobe tray.
Original to the trunk set are: Cindy in her bride ensemble (shoes, 1 thigh high nylon, panties-- damaged, see pics, bra --elastic stretched out, see pic, original earrings, original necklace, 2 veils, and wedding gown with attached muslin petticoat); yellow chiffon bathrobe, red chiffon dress featuring a raised print of little children of the world with a matching shawl/scarf, and black velvet pants. The wedding dress is made of satin and chiffon, and lace. The hem of the satin portion of the dress is stained, see pics. I have additional close ups of the stains if you would like to see them, please use CONTACT SELLER feature. There is a bit of the sleeve ruffle that is loose, I also have a photo of that. The veils are 1 stiff tulle veil with a sort of ruffle on top and satin ribbons, and one flat oval finer net that goes over her face/other veil as far as I can tell. Both came to me with the Cindy in her Bride dress. I could not find documentation of this exact red chiffon dress, though I found similar dresses in the same style. So I cannot say for 100% sure if this dress came with the original trunk set. It IS factory sewn and was with Cindy and her trunk when I acquired all of it.
The cardboard trunk measures 17 inches long x 13 inches wide x 5 inches deep and is in POOR condition, see photos. Hinges, latch and handle are good. Original trunk, blue cardboard fashion wardrobe tray with built in hangers, plastic cover and paper backing, and original blue cardboard doll insert. The trunk's paper and cardboard are significantly stained, ripped, torn, marked on, and the trunk has a strong stinky stench to it that has improved as I've been airing it out, but it still smells STRONG. Will need further airing out. It must have been tightly stored to smell so strongly (the smell is that weird plastic/rubber doll smell that smells a bit like vomit? I think that's the best way to describe it). The trunk is REALLY ROUGH, but is still intact after 66 years!

What I added to the trunk to complete it: I added vintage millinery flowers to Cindy's hair and I made her a bouquet with vintage millinery flowers, vintage lace, and modern satin ribbons. I sewed a red tulle petticoat to go with the red chiffon dress. I sewed a yellow chiffon gown from vintage chiffon to go with the robe. It is a slightly lighter yellow than the original bathrobe I sewed a gold silk blouse with vintage black beaded trim and front snap closure, and a matching gold silk cape with black cotton lining and black velvet ribbon trim to go with the original black velvet pants. I acquired an authentic vintage 1950s Horsman Cindy turquoise cotton dress and matching bolero that often was included in the Cindy trunk sets. Cindy is wearing a pair of vintage late 1990s Gene Marshall nylons (because she only has 1 original thigh high nylon which will be included in the package). There is also a random Mama made dress that came with Cindy and the original contents (as listed) of the trunk when I acquired her.
