AFFIRMATION

Forgiveness! That sometimes can be hard to do. Sometimes a wound is so deep, that healing feels like it takes forever. Sometimes there is someone still putting salt on our wound unapologetically. Sometimes we’re reminded of our wounds and sometimes we even created wounds and have a hard time forgiving ourselves.

Forgiveness should be simple right? No, it’s not always simple and it’s not always easy. When I struggle with forgiveness against others or myself, there is one thing that I hold onto…

That unforgiveness is dark, and it only one it hurts is me. God is light, and He is the only one who can heal me.

So I have to give it to Him. Sometimes I have to pray a lot, especially if I have triggers, but when I do, I feel more free, I feel lighter and safer. Forgiveness may not be easy but it is possible. We just have to give it to God. He haves broad shoulders and he wants us to give Him our burdens.

Weekly Bible Verse:

Matthew 6:14. “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
