This is for an original 1967 Marvel Comics Group Official Swingin’ Stationary kit with its original fold out folder, envelopes and writing pads. The 7 ½ x 9 ½ folder comes with some great Jack Kirby artwork decorating the front and back covers. The kit also comes with two different tablets, 1 5 ½ x 8 ½ tablet with 43 pages remaining along with a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ scribble pad with a 1967 copyright. Also included are 21 6 ½ x 3 5/8 envelopes with a head shot of the Thing on the front along with a “Marvel Age of Comics Nuff Said” along with “E Pluribus Marvel” logo on the back of the envelopes. The comic page shown is not included but is there to show how it was advertised and what the contents should be. Again, Marvel came up with that magical 1.00 number for the whole kit and kaboodle. One of the best advertising gimmicks was to tell comic readers that the back page of the folder was an autograph page signed by “almost every one of our costumed kooks”. At least you’ll have a nice sample page to compare if someone tries to sell you an autograph of Odin or The Beast. A really nice and clean example of what 1.00 could have gotten you back in the day shopping in the Marvel Universe. A must have for any comic or Marvel collector. Excelsior!
