Confucius was a Chinese philosopher of the Spring and Autumn periods who is traditionally considered the paragon of Chinese sages. His teachings and philosophy underpin the East Asian culture and society, and remain influential across China and East Asia to this day. His philosophical teachings, called Confucianism, emphasized personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice, kindness, sincerity, and a ruler's responsibilities to lead by virtue.

Here is a Chinese and translated English copy of "The Analects of Confucius," written by Confucius. This 1988 published version is a fascinating read of Confucianism. 

This book is a collector's special edition with a silk bookmark contained in an exquisitely engraved brown wooden box with a top lid that slides open and close. The top lid is engraved with Chinese chop marks within a leather insert. The bottom outside of the box contains leather ribbon on all four sides. There is slight scuffing to the outer box. The book is in excellent condition.

The book pages are silk with full color Chinese and English sections. The silk pages are bound in a silk blue front and back covers that is strung together with a white silk cord. 

In addition to the Chinese writings, the book is also translated into English.
