This is for an original ticket stub for the July 8 1981 concert performed by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at the newly opened Brendan Byrne Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford New Jersey. Bruce and the band would christen the new arena by playing a six night stand to open Jersey’s newest multi purpose arena. This would be the homecoming leg of the bands “The River” tour, and the band would start out by playing at the arena on July 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9. The show from July 9 would be recorded and released as part of the Bruce Springsteen Archives in 2020. With some of the sets on this tour lasting over 4 hours, the band was making a name for themselves as marathon performers. The set from this show would include:

An amazing 27 songs with a break after Thunder Road and a break before the 3 song encore. Simply incredible. The stub is blank backed, is a nice full stub and displays great. A must have for any Springsteen fan, especially his hard core New Jersey fans.
