Absolutely captivating Estate home type of porcelain figure with extremely fine detail.
H. Moreau.  (Hippolyte Moreau)

I call it "Big Sister, Little Brother... CHILDREN IN A STORM "

Based upon the subject, artist, quality of workmanship and age toning, I am guessing c 1880-1900 +/-

signed in the porcelain H. Moreau for Hippolyte Moreau .. Please google him on the internet for other parian statues by this artist.  These larger ones with appealing subjects seem to range $800-1500+

He was a French sculptor famous for his bronze statuettes of young women. Born in 1832 in Dijon, France.  His father was a famous sculptor Jean-Baptiste Moreau and Hippolyte grew up learning from his father's workshop.

Large size .. I see no damage or repairs...it is preowned and shows some age related toning because it is unglazed parian porcelain.  I assumed it should  be cleaned professionally , so I just dust it with a dry cloth.  I believe this type of porcelain is called "Parian"?

Age unknown - I've had this for about 8 yrs and it was vintage when I bought it at an Antiques Mall

I see no foundry/ makers mark (similar items on the internet are advertised as Copeland c 1880 and so as Seves)   The quality and detail make me feel it is by a well known maker.

I see no damage, Beautiful workmanship, look at details for fingers, toes, face..

I just dusted it occasionally

The posture of the children makes me think of two children caught in a storm or something... I don't know the "title" of this work
