I don't know the history of how this was made.
Measures 14" high x 12" wide  x 2 1/2" deep (approx)

It is porcelain Bisque with a painted background and clothing highlights (I think handpainted on bisque not fired glaze)
Gilt frame is solid wood (or looks like it to me)
Has original label

this is heavy and fragile will need extra packaging 

the label on the back is in
German, French and English thus I think it was made in Germany for the European/ American Market

says "Scene from the Castle-Park of Sanssouci about 1750-1760. The pastoral plays, performed in the castle-parks of the Rococo, were a favorite amusement for grandes dames and cavaliers.  They were cultivated with spirit and charm and were part of the abundance of the Rococo and of the Happy Century."
