My grandfather, passed away in 2001, was arguably the greatest aviation artist in the history of aviation, he also enjoyed painting non-aviation subjects such as harbor scenes, nudes, western, Indian and landscapes. There is a great deal of information available about him on the internet and a book about him called "R.G. Smith A Man and His Art".
