Version Selection (DIP1)

Set DIP1 = ON to activate Version 1 (Version 2 will not start — garbage on screen).
Set DIP1 = OFF to activate Version 2 (if PCB is Version 1, game will not start — garbage on screen).

Does this kit require soldering?

No soldering is required for the kit itself if your Z80 is already socketed. If it is not, you’ll need to install a 40-pin socket.

Which scores are saved?

The kit saves all scores shown on screen and stores them permanently in EEPROM.

Will Free Play disable coin operation?

No. You can use Freeplay or keep Coin Up enabled — your choice.

What does ROM Saver do on this title?

ROM Saver moves the program to the kit so you may remove the listed program ROMs (D6, D7, D8, D10, D11, D13) to reduce power and improve reliability.

How do I choose between Version 1 and Version 2?

Use DIP1: set ON for Version 1, OFF for Version 2. Using the wrong setting for your PCB revision will cause a garbage screen and the game won’t start.

Does it work in both Upright and Cocktail cabinets?

Yes. The kit supports Upright and Cocktail cabinets.
