Valve Cover Gasket for 16 Dodge Challenger/Charger Ram 1500
Brief introduction:
A valve cover gasket seals the valve cover to the top portion of the engine cylinder head. The gasket prevents motor oil from leaking out as it travels around the camshafts, rockers and valves.
Applicable model:
for 2005-2015 Chrysler 300
for 2008-2016 Dodge Challenger
for 2011-2016 Ram 2500
Installation method:
1.Open the hood and locate the engine valve cover.
2.Inspect around the valve cover for signs of leaking engine oil.
3.using the 3/8" drive ratchet and correct sized socket.
4.Remove the valve covers (V-style engine) and set them aside.Scrape off any gasket material stuck to the block.
5.clean the valve covers with brake cleaner spray.
6.Attach the new valve cover gasket to the valve cover with an adhesive sealant.
7.Install the valve cover mounting bolts and torque to manufacturer's specifications.
