This unique necklace is a beautiful piece of Native American jewelry that is sure to catch the eye of anyone who sees it. The medallion pendant features an intricate mosaic inlay design with turquoise, jet, coral and abalone. It is if two people doing a native dance. It is on a sterling silver chain. The chain measures 29” without the medallion and 31.5“ with it. The medallion measures 2.5” tall and 4.5” across. Handmade by an unknown artisan, this piece is a true testament to the Navajo culture of the United States. It is marked on the rear NAVAJO and initials that look like DB. I couldn’t find out anything about this artist. Not marked Sterling but tests positive for it. I would say this dates from the 40s or 5Os. There is some tarnish but I have worn it this way and it doesn’t really take away from the beauty of the piece.
With a rich history and provenance that is unfortunately unknown, this necklace carries with it a sense of mystery and allure. Its tribal affiliation and origin are both Navajo, making it a valuable addition to any collector's Native American jewelry collection. Free shipping is included with this purchase, making it an even more attractive option for those searching for a unique and authentic piece of jewelry.
