This is a segmented permanent or portable ground rod kit. By attaching the three copper clad ground rods together and driving it into the ground, you can quickly assemble a ground for convenient use. Each of the three ground rod sections is 3’ long, thus creating a total depth of 9’ of earth grounding. 6’ of copper grounding cable, connected to the rod makes for an easy connection to the transported equipment or vehicle. Although there are many applications for a permanent/portable ground rod kit, it is most commonly used for grounding electrical panels, home generators, trailers and vehicles, portable generators, and satellite communications. In addition, military helicopters and fixed wing aircraft, civilian rescue, and law enforcement equipment also use permanent/portable ground rod kits. This product is UL listed and approved.
These are new (old stock) , never used, surplus military ground rods (boxes containing ground rods may show signs of surplus storage by the military.
