Vintage Elgin Automatic Date Register Stainless Steel Swiss Made Watch

This is a nice watch.

The watch utilizes a Swiss made automatic jewel movement. The movement is stamped ELGIN 943 SWISS UNADJUSTED SU.92 1862/63. The movement has been tested and is keeping good time.

The dial color and condition are as pictured. The dial has the raised symbol ELGIN and is stamped AUTOMATIC and at 6 is signed T SWISS MADE T. The watch dial has patina that gives the watch a unique look. At 3 is the date register that can be changed quickly by moving the hour hand back and forth between 8pm and 12 am. The seconds hand is a beautiful blue. 

The case is stainless steel. The back case is stamped ELGIN STAINLESS STEEL. The inside of the back case is stamped ELGIN S.A. NEUCHATELSWISS 10015 4179.

The watch has a fluted crown that's working properly.

The watch has a complementary new generic black leather band.

The watch case without the crown measures 34 mm and from lugs to lugs measures 39.5 mm.

The box and papers are not available. It is a very nice time piece.
