Threaded ski inserts for bindings such as these Binding Freedom stainless steel inserts allow you to remove and swap bindings on your skis, offering you more versatility with your quiver of skis.
Now you can have one ski, and mount ski touring bindings one day, and alpine downhill bindings the next.
Additionally, you can now take multiple sets of skis and have one set of bindings, so whether its a deep powder day, or a hard-packed piste day, you will have YOUR favourite ski for those conditions with you and can swap in minutes.
And further, if you just want the option of being able to store skis flat, or transport multiple sets in a smaller soft case or hard case, then now you can remove your bindings and carry these in your backpack or hold luggage, and optimise your ski carriage weight allowance.
To install threaded ski binding inserts you will need the correct number of inserts (we sell these as singles as some bindings need more or less than the standard 16 per set of skis), the correct matching threaded screws, some thread compound to secure the screws (We use Vibratite VC3 which can be re-used) and if fitting yourself an installation tool kit.
Why are we using Binding Freedom inserts?
We have been installing and using threaded inserts ourselves for 8+ years and previously worked for one of the largest fitters of the popular Quiver Killer threaded inserts in the UK. The advantage we feel with the Binding Freedom insert is the mounting notch in the top of the insert. The trickiest moment of installing any threaded insert is actually removing the insert tool leaving the insert perfectly fitted and flush with the ski top sheet. With Binding Freedom, the notch allows us to use a simpler fitting tool similar to a flat screwdriver, for perfect results every time.

We use a laser guided pillar drill to ensure absolute precision drilling into your skis, and use the best Araldite brand epoxy resins to secure the mounts permanently in your skis. We are also adept at configuring hole patterns for multiple bindings, to ensure the bindings are mounted in the best position for performance, whilst protecting the integrity of your skis. We have in the past had customers requiring THREE binding options for one ski and achieved this safely, and have mounted binding inserts onto specialist split snowboards and mono boards
If you have an alternative brand of binding inserts such as Quiver Killer and have decided not to try to mount these yourself, then we can also install Quiver Killer inserts for customers to our same exacting standards, with the reassurance of years of experience of doing so.
