Tonson 1723), A Comedy The Tender Husband; or, The Accomplish'd Fools (J. Tonson 1723), A Comedy The Lying Lover: or, The Ladies Friendship (B. Lintot 1723 Fourth Edition), A Comedy. In addition a further comedy being the Conscious Lovers (J. Tonson 1730 Third Edition). Black and white frontis. Language: English. Size: 16 cm by 9.5 cm. Pages: 250, 2, A1-A6, 75.

  • Period re-binding bringing together three plus one comedies. Period replacement spine with later new endpapers. Heavy wear to original corner pieces and edges, Rubbed boards. First page is the frontis (with repairs to length of leading edge and half gutter edge). Tightly bound with intact replacement endpapers and strong hinges. Stain to upper and lower margins up to page B. Stains to most of the pages of the fourth comedy. All pages are toned with other occasional marks and smudges.
