This heavy duty valve is machined and crafted with very high precision; leaks after installs are very rare. If leaks do occur, most likely it is due to an incorrect installation method. Follow this guidance during install:
- DO NOT reuse old compression ferrule and nut. Remember to remove existing ferrule and nut from previous valve as this may cause improper seal and potential catastrophic flood to the property.
- DO NOT overtighten the nut as this will deform the compression ring and cause a leak.
- DO NOT use on copper stub-out that has been deformed or has uneven surface.
