Situated in southwest South Dakota, Badlands National Park is home to the largest grass prairie in the USA. It is also known for its numerous buttes and pinnacles, as well as its flat-topped table mountains like Red Shirt Table and Stronghold Table. The park, originally a Sioux reservation, is still partially owned by the Oglala Lakota tribe.
