This is one of the three original (now retired) 1986 American Girl dolls from Pleasant Company -- Samantha Parkington -- with a HUGE lot of her clothing, accessories, and books. This doll is pre-Mattel -- from Pleasant Rowland's original line of dolls with a white cloth body (as opposed to later, flesh-colored models).
Samantha has a “Pleasant Company” neck stamp, brown hair, and brown eyes.

- Nightgown has a very faint yellowish stain at left side. Handkerchief has a few small rust stains.
- Composition book and primer have damaged covers from being stored together -- insides of both books are intact.
- Sam is missing some of her eyelashes.
