Here we have an exceptional, quality antique copper lidded pedestal urn. When I bid on this, I assumed it was a Samovar, but soon realised it had no tap so it couldn't be. I assume this would have been awarded to someone as it is in trophy form. It is absolutely beautiful, the patina, the way the copper has aged naturally is stunning. It is of great quality with an abundance of reeded decoration as well as stepped details to the base which are particularly nice. The handles have a wonderful etched leaf design, this is absolutely lovely and would look exceptional placed on a torchere/pedestal stand or on the mantelpiece. Unknown maker/origin, I would expect English. This would date to c1880-1900. It measures approximately 16.5 inches tall by 13.5 inches wide by 9.75 inches. It's extremely decorative and would make a beautiful display piece for any country house interior; it would also make a nice planter with the lid off. This weighs just under 3kg's. This is the only one on the market of course so get it while you can! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

I use new & recycled materials to ensure that your item arrives to you safely. I pack all of my items the best I can which you will see from my feedback. However, as with fragile items there is always a risk, items such as Antiques/Collectables, glass, ceramics, paintings etc are not insured for damage by any of the postal services, with the exception of The Royal Mail. This is why I offer a choice of postage options, so you can choose your preferred postage method. Collection in person is also available on all of my items. In the unfortunate, and unlikely event that something does get damaged or goes missing with the Royal Mail then I will do my very best to assist you in making a claim. I always obtain proof of postage for all of my sent items. Sadly I cannot be held responsible for the postal services poor handling of parcels. Here are a few links regarding Royal Mails compensation policies and how to make a claim if necessary.
