How It Works
The white steel tape fits to your window frame, and the white backed magnetic tape is then applied to your secondary glazing panel, allowing you to easily attach the panel to your framework. When the secondary glazing is in position you will only see the white backing of the tape.

It is important that there is a flat surface all the way round to ensure a good fit. Please ensure that all window furniture e.g. handles etc fit within the recess.

The tapes are only 2mm thick and as such it is an ideal solution where you do not want the secondary glazing to protrude too much. Using magnetic tape also ensures that the panels are easy to remove in the Summer or for cleaning etc.

Additional Information
Our tapes are manufactured in the UK and are of the highest quality. We use a high grade foam adhesive on the magnetic tape which is the same type as used for security glazing. The steel is high quality and rigid which helps ensure it will last long term, and has a solvent-acrylic adhesive which ensures that it can bond to most surfaces. This adhesive, as with the magnetic tape, is also UV resistant making it ideal for use in windows - coming into contact with direct sunlight.

In order to calculate the size of glazing panel you must add 25mm to the internal dimensions of the window frame. It is important that there is a flat surface all the way round to ensure a good fit. Please ensure that all window furniture e.g. handles etc fit within the recess.

When you are fitting the tape, ensure the surfaces are really clean by using a pure alcohol cleaner on the surfaces. We supply packs of 10 sachets of IPA cleaner, you find them in our shop.

We can also supply the polycarbonate glazing. Just message us with the sizes required and we will quote you.

The magnetic secondary glazing kit is used to fix 2-4mm polycarbonate/acrylic as secondary glazing to an existing window frame. The kit consists of a 12.7mm wide foam-backed magnetic tape and a 13mm steel tape. There is double sided adhesive tape to attach the tapes to the window frame and glazing material.
