Average bead size is 16 mm x 17 mm.  Strand weight 200.7 grams.  The bead portion of the strand is 18.25 inches. 

Age:  The exact age is unknown.  Trade beads have been made for centuries.  Although many are very old antique, not knowing their complete history, I would be guessing at their exact age.

Origin:  NepalThese glass trade beads were hand made by artisans from various countries around the world.  Many were sold, traded and worn multiple times before arriving in Nepal. 

Condition:  Used with original patina.  I have not wiped them clean.  However, some may have been cleaned by a previous owner. These beads have had numerous owners / wearers and have traveled multiple continents.  Some will show signs of wear, cracks and chips. 

Raffia:  The beads are woven into a temporary raffia strand.  It provides a practical way to organize, display and sell the beads in market shops. The raffia can be cut and the beads restrung as jewelry.
