In 1908, Frank Furst and
Frederick McNess started the Furst-McNess Company based in Freeport, Illinois. The
company was an instant success and soon the “McNess Man” was selling F.W.
McNess branded products by horse and buggy and automobiles all across the
United States.
Up for sale is a RARE 1920’s
ReJois F.W. McNess small silver compact. The compact is Art Deco in style and
comes in its original box with cloth sleeve. The compact has never been used
and has its original powder puff that sits on wax paper placed over the still
intact “Naturelle” powder. A rare find.
