If you are buying from the USA, and having the item posted to the USA: due to new tariffs imposed by the current US administration there will be Import costs to pay which US Customs require to be paid before we can post the item to you. We can issue you a PayPal invoice for the amount, so please send us your PayPal email address when you pay for the item. Royal Mail will charge us for the Import duty and then pass it on to US Customs on your behalf. All items, irrespective of where they are made, now 13% + £1.

International buyers, please note: due to the fact that it has become so costly to post items to destinations outside the UK, we have decided to implement the eBay option not to accept returns from International buyers, unless of course we make a mistake. UK buyers, please note, that as of March 2023, Royal Mail are often taking a lot longer to deliver UK packages which are not parcels - so Large Letters and Letters. Publicly they state that they are not giving parcels priority, but they are being investigated by Ofcom because they are clearly doing just that, with many Large Letters taking a lot longer to be delivered than parcels. Part Number: X1847. Please check out Hornby service sheets 139 and 201.

Description: Two, China made motor housing/cradle/retainer including wiring as pictured, for M2209/X1846 motors as fitted to 0-6-0 locos shown on Hornby service sheets 139 and some of the ones in the 201 series, but not for those shown on service sheets 201C and above which have long copper pick-ups on both sides. It is also not suitable for the later type of 0-6-0 locos (which have a retainer with long copper pick-ups on both sides). As well as being shown on service sheet 201C and above, they are also shown on later Hornby service sheets, such as 264 and 291.
When fitting this retainer to your motor and then into your chassis, please be careful not to damage the little brackets at the rear.

I have a number of these, all of which were delivered to me in the manufacturer's original storage trays. They are not packeted, but are all brand new, and would have been used in 0-6-0 locos until Hornby changed the design.
