Vintage Playskool No. 425 Blackboard Express Train Wooden Toy dating to the 1950s. In excellent, gently used condition in the original box. This doesn't appear to have been played with often. "An unusual five-car take-apart train that will reallly hold a child's interest. The engine roof is an eraser. The caboose contains a box of chalk and four cars are real blackboards on which the chid can make his own designs." All yellow pegs are present. This is complete other than the small box of chalk which originally came with the train and can easily be replaced. The black part of the engine could be glued to the base (photo 8). Train measures 3.75" wide x 29" long, not including the 24" pull string. Box measures 29" x 4.75" x 3.875". There are a couple of tears on the box (photos 12 & 13) but it is in overall very good shape for its age.
