Almond Chromecraft Casters

The "Almond" color is a bit lighter than what I hoped for but I read about that in the other reviews and decided to go with the Almond despite that. I'm glad I ordered the Almond and not the Brown or Black as I am not noticing the color so much. After a few days of the new casters, I think it is the better color choice for the dinette set and surroundings. It took a bit of muscle and a pipe wrench to get a few of the old casters out and a rubber mallet to whack the new ones in to place. These are Chromecraft casters. They were ordered and arrived quickly in good packaging. What an improvement they make! These casters saved the old Chromecraft roly chairs for a few more years. They're the family favorite comfy card-playing chairs :)

Easy to install and roll really nice

My Chromecraft chairs are 30 years old. Replacement chairs are expensive. Was pleasantly surprised that I could still get casters and they were so easy to install. Great to be able to roll the chairs again! I bought these as soon as I saw them. I don’t know if other colors were available (would have like gold color) and I didn’t pursue it. They came sooner than I expected.

Soft gripping Chromecraft casters better than originals.

My original Chromecraft casters were difficult to remove (after almost 30 years), but the new almond replacements were easy to install with a rubber hammer. My wife loves them, and I like the soft coating on the rollers. Our new vinyl flooring should last longer with the soft gripping rollers.

Wonderfull replacements

My wife knits, spins and other crafts and the castors of her table get clogged with wool fiber such that I can not get it out. These new castors are all purposes replacement . The old ones come out of the chairs using pliers and fulcrum to create a lift. The new one go in by hand with an occasional hit with me palm. They work great.

Great Light Almond Chromecraft Casters

These casters are identical to the original black Cromcraft casters that came with our chairs. I thought the black made the chairs looks like they belonged in an office. Now with the lighter colored casters our chairs look so much better! I did expect them to be a darker almond and I think the seller should call them "light almond" .

I would have been better off with brown

These are not worth the money to pay for the almond. #1, they are a really light almond. I would have been better off with brown. Some of them will swivel and some won't so I'm at the same spot as I was with the old ones. They fit as a replacement and my chairs are 25 years old so they will give me several more years of use. But they were advertised for hardwood floors and if they fail to swivel then your going to get scratching. Delivery was good and they were packaged loose in a plastic bag. Fairly easy to install. Perhaps over time they will loosen up and start swiveling, only time will tell.

Good as new and an updated look too!

It was a simple operation to change the original casters to these replacement casters...just pull out the old and push in the new! Although the almond color is drastically different than the original black with gold covers, the change is good! We plan to enjoy these new casters for as many years as the original ones.
