Incredible edition of the James Horner hugely underrated score from 1986, The Name Of The Rose. Sean Connery & F Murray Abraham provide an engrossing religious drama set in 12th Century Italy, Horner provides a period score with all the elements familiar with his style and composition. Horner was on fire between the period of 1981 – 1988, showcasing such a huge talent of material such as Wolfen, Battle Beyond The Stars, Star Trek II & Willow. This score has never been made available in its complete form until now. Truly a magnificent score and highly recommended.
