This version of the medal (on a pentagonal block) was awarded after 1943 (replacing the option on a small square block).
Brass, silver plated and enameled. The original medal was used as a sample during manufacture. The silver coating on the medal darkens over time, as does the silver on the real medal, covered with a plaque of patina.

Medal "XX years of the Red Army", 1943. USSR, copy
High quality copy of the Soviet medal "20 years of the Red Army". This version of the medal (on a pentagonal block) was worn after 1943, replacing the version on a small square block. From the moment of its establishment until 1943, the medal was worn on a square quadrangular block; after 1943, the surviving owners of the medal (officers of the Soviet army who continued their military service) replaced the block with a newly installed model. By this time the medal itself was no longer awarded.
The copy was made without the use of precious metals, but the silver plating on the medal darkens over time, just like the silver on the real medal, becoming covered with a beautiful patina. All dimensions were observed; the original medal was used as a sample during production. The word "Dummy" on the reverse is applied with a special stamp using printing ink.
Can be used in military-historical events, filming films about the Great Patriotic War, and various theatrical productions. Decorate a thematic museum exhibition.
