The display box in rectangular form comprises a mahogany color wood frame, featuring a hinged top lid, four columns at the corners and four sided glass. The top lid is marked “Boston Garter” in gold letter outlined in black. The hinges work well. The lid is held open by a brass chain. A gold-leaf cautionary notice is painted on the inside of the lid by the George Frost Company. The base inside the box is two pieces of wood with divided parts at the sides. The bottom of the box is with four rivets preventing scratches. All joints are solid and tight. Notably, the surface of the top lid is not even, with a slightly curved appearance. The display box is designed to conveniently hold such as baseball cards in the hobby and other intended items.
Boston Garter was a Trademark with a serial number of 71048889 issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). It was owned and filed in 1910 by the manufacturer George Frost Company in Shirley, Massachusetts. However, the Trademark was first used in commerce and anywhere on January 1, 1879.

Condition: Very good and
clean, with no cracks or damages to the glass, a little wood chip loss to the
right corner inside the box (see photo 10), minor scuffs and some paint loss to
the Boston Garter trademark on the lid, consistent with age and use.
