The Mullen mouth Bit has a curved mouthpiece with no nutcracker action, and can be an ideal bit to use in a dressage test for horses used to being ridden in a pelham or continental bit.

The Full Cheek Mullen mouth bit is often used to encourage straightness and direction, so ideal for steering young or resistant horses, and generally used for fast work. 

A Mullen mouth is a plain mouthpiece with a slight curve over the horse's tongue. This makes it more comfortable for the horse to carry than a straight-bar mouthpiece.
