I was quite excited to come by this hard to find pair of Rookwood bookends and will enjoy having them until they meet their new owner! They are in a taupe or mid tan mat glaze finish and feature bluejays with oak leaves and acorns.

They are properly marked on the bottom, XXVI, 2829, and are circa 1926.

They are very good, but not perfect. The tip of the top feathers of one jay has had a well done repair. This is seen in photos 3 thru 6. I didn't see any other flaws and they are in as found condition.
