Description: Antique print, titled: 'Book 1. Part 8. Chap 15.' - This original antique plate shows a group of people making music, one is playing the organ. From: 'The Gentleman's Recreation.', by Richard Blome, published by S. Roycroft in 1686.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'M. van der Gucht' after 'G. Freman'. Made by 'Francis Barlow' after own design. Some of the plates in the originating work are by Francis Barlow. This plate engraved by M. van der Gucht after G. Freman. Francis Barlow (1626-1704): Known as 'the father of British sporting painting', Francis Barlow was an English painter and etcher specializing in animal subjects. In 1666, Barlow's etchings illustrated an edition of Aesop's Fables. He also produced paintings for decoration.
