Oh the town, it climbs the mountain and looks upon the sea
At sleeping time or waking, ’tis there I’d long to be
To walk again that kindly street, the place where life began
And the Boys of Barr na Sráide went hunting for the wren

This photograph was taken whilst holidaying in Southern Ireland, more specifically 'The Rings of Kerry' In County Kerry. After donning our walking boots and lugging our backpacks stuffed with lovely homemade delicacies (Shop bought 3 for 2 offers in a nearby convenience store) for mile upon mile of green ground. Up vast mountains and down gaping valleys (small hills and even smaller dips)
At 20 meters high at it's highest point the waterfall is formed by the Owengarriff River as it drains from the Devil's Punchbowl on the Mangerton Mountain. After scouting through the winding footpaths, stumbling over fallen branches and other woodland flora and fauna that were scattered about we finally happened upon the waterfall. Immediately we were all captivated by the majesty of the fall.
The deafening cracking of the water smashing on the rocks below, coupled with the sounds of the rippling water at the base all merged with the musical harmonies of the chirping birds flapping around us. We were definitely in haven, it was sheer bliss.
The finished article I have come up with is hopefully a shot which you will be proud to own. So relax back on your sofa with a plump pillow resting your head, grab a brew and look up with pride at this photo hung pride of place in the room, you can make up your own story about the picture staring back at you. Will it be from a fantasy world, will it be your own private waterfall in your garden or something else your mind can conjour up, the only limit is your imagination. It will be something that you can place somewhere that will become a conversation starter, a shot that will catch your family, friends or visitors eye...Or maybe something that will make the toilet or laundry room that bit fresher and nicer to be in...
