17 1/4" Extra Tall DON QUIXOTE Quijote Statue Figurine Upright STANDING SPEAR Shield Vintage and dressed in full body armor, standing-up and ready-for-a-challenge position.

Only one of the statues has a gift tag which reads: “This collectors piece has been designed and handcrafted by our famous artists and master sculptors. Their unique talents and imaginations turn each creation into a beautiful piece. 100% handmade.”

Measures 17 1/4” tall from base to tip of spear. Base is 7 inches across. Heavy and substantive. Very well crafted and designed with lifelike features. The statuette is hand-cast high quality resin and highly detailed. Artists say that the hardest parts to capture are the eyes and the hands. Zoom in to appreciate multiple details including execution and placement of the hands and his deep set eyes and other costume details such as the tip of his shield and spurs. Compared to other listings, this one stands out for its overall proportions, craftsmanship and interpretation of this literary figure.

Chivalrous to the end, the legendary Don Quixote stands ready for his next adventure. He holds a lance in one hand, while the other hand holds his shield. He is dressed in full body armor.  

Don Quixote follows the saga of Don Quixote de la Mancha, a delusional nobleman who fancies himself a knight of yore. It is considered to be the first 'modern' novel, and many authors believe it to be the best literary work ever written. Mounted on a round wood pedestal.
