Up for sale here is this complete rebuild set for a Harman-Kardon 730 receiver.  This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Harman-Kardon 730 amplifier board, tuner board, phono board, preamp/tone board, switch board, power supply board, and replace the four main caps.  The phono board on the 730 is incorrectly designed, resulting in poor sound.  This kit contains parts and instructions to fix this, which is fairly easy--you just have to change the values of four capacitors.

The output and driver transistors are not included and should not be replaced unless they are bad.  If you need replacement outputs, the correct replacements are MJ21195G/MJ21196G, available here.


Over time, capacitors and transistors start acting up and need to be replaced.  The old parts are weak and failing.  We will make them new again!

These are extremely high-quality genuine parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild vintage gear.  I recently rebuilt a Harman-Kardon 730, which is what made me put together this kit.  This should fix most problems with the 730.

I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is a moderately complicated rebuild, though it's not too bad, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb.
