History of the NB series of tweeters:
NB Stands for Niobium. This is a very rare material. Power Acoustik is one of the only brands who uses this material for tweeters. These tweeters don't even have a magnets like most other tweeters. It is similar to a piezo tweeter only this material can handle a ton more power! The Niobium material is used in the dome of the tweeter, so basically instead of being a silk dome or titanium dome, these are Niobium dome tweeters. We have not seen any other brands make tweeters like this. The NB series of tweeters have been the best selling for over 10 years. The other really awesome thing about these are that they don't ever burn out because they do not have any voice coils inside, so there are no voice coils to be burned! These handle a lot of power, and they last for years and years and years!
Don't be fooled by all those cheaply made tweeters on the market! Make sure to check for RMS ratings, not "max" or "peak" ratings.
Power Acoustik is a trusted brand name because they don't make products with fake ratings like some other brands. These tweeter have 100 watts RMS which is an insane amount of power for tweeters. The "cheap" ones out there can only handle 4 watts RMS if you test them.
These have amazing sound quality and are made with the best components. These have polypropylene diaphragms which are only ofund in the best speakers. These have built in crossovers to protect the tweeters from low frequency sounds they are not meant to play.
Another advantage of the NB-1 is that these can be flush or angle mounted so that you can install them in any vehicle.
