One new-old-stock valve, 6HG8. A medium mu triode-sharp cutoff frame-grid pentode frequency converter, equivalent to ECF86.
Thirty-nine available (one Mullard, one Teonex, two Toshiba, thirteen Philips, twenty AWV, two Trigon). Message me if you want more than one, so I can send an offer. Multiple purchase discounts apply, except where the 'best offer' option is used.
Please note all valves i sell are individual valves; they might not be matched, and are never sold as such.
This valve has been tested using a 'Superior Instruments Model
TW-11' valve testing unit, and has passed both the
shorting and qualitative tests.
Meter picture is a stock photo, intended only to illustrate that the
valve has been tested, and should not be interpreted as indicative of actual
test results.
NOS, or new-old-stock, does not necessarily mean it looks like brand
new, as if it just came out of the factory, like some people think. In reality,
an NOS valve may have been taken out of its box hundreds of times over the last
70 years for inspection or testing. The boxes may be dilapidated, the valves
may have fingermarks, pins may show signs of being repeatedly fitted to testing
machines, there may be corrosion of pins, the valves may have been
"cleaned", all but removing any identifying labels, and so on. This
does not, however, alter the fact that they are unused stock.
Any questions please ask, I will do my best to answer.
International bidders - you are most welcomed, but you MUST either wait
for an invoice, as postage cost varies with location and method (expect between
$15 and $43 AUD usually), or ask for a price first. Postage from
Australia is one of the world's most expensive - please do not ask to cancel a
sale because you didn't ask about postage first! I will only post
to the address listed on eBay and-or PayPal. Any import duties, levies, fees,
etc, that may be imposed by the destination country, are the sole
responsibility of the buyer, and no, I will not falsify the documents.
Insurance and tracking are heavily encouraged on all international
postage. Cheaper uninsured untracked postage is available; my packaging is
excellent, but if it gets lost or damaged in transit, on your head be it, I
will not be liable.
Please visit my eBay store. Combined postage is welcomed. Generally, it costs about the same to send ten valves as it does one, except where it involves some of the huge ancient metallised ones, for example. Asking first is probably best.
Maybe you have a 'wish list' of valves. Message me, I may be able to help. Hundreds yet to be listed, with more stock arriving all the time.
