To me it looks like a hiking shoe but with supportive sneaker type construction. But the sole is really not made for outdoor use.

 I love the plush faux fleece trim around the ankle.  It also fully lines the inside of the shoe.  It feels better than real fur.  Everything is made from man made materials.

  But they have such a rugged, sturdy, well made construction boot kind of design.

The hook and loop straps are easy to open and close.  The insole is cushioned.  Even though these fit normal width feet they are designed to fit wide feet too because of the way that they are constructed.

I like the high top hiker look and the reinforced textured toe material.  It looks and feels like real leather (but it's not) and has been treated with a polyurethane coating to help protect from water.

No animals were murdered to make these. Cruelty free shoes for your precious child.

There are traction pads to help prevent slips on the bottom sole and an anti-stink lining inside.  Plus, they are usually machine washable, but this pair does not say that, so don't do it. 

 Great quality shoes for the price. They are designed for comfort, fit, and durability while also being flexible on the feet.
