Carlton Ware Chinoiserie Vase - Mikado - Pattern Number 2364 - Introduced 1920's

 An Art Deco Carlton Ware large vase decorated with the Chinoiserie 'Mikado' pattern against a powder blue ground.  This is pattern number 2364 introduced in the 1920's. Superbly decorated with a waterside scene with oriental ladies and Pagodas. To the base of the bowl is the Carlton Ware backstamp and the pattern number - 2364 - also presnt is the impressed shape number 217. A fine example of this Chinoiserie pattern on an excellent shape.

 26cm high, 25cm wide (maximum), 10cm at the base. 

Condition

 In good condition without chips, cracks, or restoration - some minor wear to the gilding at the edge of the rim - enamels in good order - crazing typically apparent to the interior. A superb example for the discerning collector.
