Egypt Pencil Sharpener - Sphinx/Pyramid
In a ravine to the south of
Chephren's pyramid sits a creature with a human head and a lion's body. The
name 'sphinx', which means 'strangler' was first given by the Greeks to a
fabulous creature which had the head of a woman and the body of a lion and the
wings of a bird. There is no mystery about our sphinx, however - it is a useful
pencil sharpener, which measures 3-1/8" long, 1-1/2" wide and
1-7/8" tall, sits conveniently against an ancient pyramid and brings a
taste of Egypt to your desk or office.
